The fact that tanzanite
as found only in one region of the world makes it much rarer than diamond. But
the industrial strength and cost that tanzanite have is not as same as other
precious gemstones. High prices of tanzanite are due to its very rare
occurrence but still remained behind diamond in the same race. Although these
two stones are graded similarly according to cut, clarity, color, carats
parameters.
PRICING
The prices of
diamond are noticeably higher than tanzanite with a difference of more than
100% per carat. The price ranges still vary according to the jeweler’s crafting
and finishing. The fragile structure of tanzanite makes it less favorable as
compared to diamond.
COLORS
There is vast range of colors
that tanzanite expresses from blue to purple. The colors of tanzanite can vary
when exposed to light due to their different cuts. Different lights can cause
